ABOUT JAIMEJaime Richichi is a creative director and entrepreneur whose work brings together design, material culture, and storytelling. Her point of view is grounded in proportion, material integrity, and a belief that the environments we inhabit and the objects we choose quietly shape how we live and feel.
Before founding her own companies, Jaime spent more than two decades across fashion, interiors, and luxury real estate, including senior leadership in fashion and a career with Sotheby’s International Realty. This experience sharpened her understanding of silhouette, craftsmanship, and the relationship between an object and the space it inhabits.
She is the founder and creative director of AFFINĒ Atelier, a design house devoted to considered living. Conceived as a study in what we choose to keep, AFFINĒ brings together art, heritage pieces, objects, and pieces for the table selected for their character, integrity, and lasting presence. Through curated collections and editorial storytelling, the Atelier offers a more discerning approach to the home, guided by a simple principle: Not more things. Better things.
Jaime is also the founder and creative director of Casa Legame, an independent design house creating sculptural marble vessels for dogs. The name comes from the Italian word legame, meaning bond or connection. Inspired by her rescue dog, Luna, the collection honors the relationship between people, their homes, and the animals who share them.
Each Casa Legame form is designed by Jaime and carved by hand from natural stone, allowing the veining, tonal movement, and individuality of the material to remain visible. Drawing from architecture, sculpture, and the equestrian world, the vessels are conceived as objects of the home rather than pet accessories. They are made to belong in the room, not beside it. A portion of every purchase supports animal rescue organizations.
The foundation of Casa Legame reaches back to Jaime’s earliest life with animals. A former professional equestrian, she grew up riding and competing in show jumping, where caring for horses taught her the value of attention, ritual, trust, and objects made with purpose. The dogs who followed through every chapter of her life further shaped her understanding of companionship. Their histories live quietly within the collection, with forms inspired by Gabby, Simon, and Luna.
Alongside her work in design and storytelling, Jaime is building Unshakability, a philosophy, community, and forthcoming book exploring resilience, discipline, and the architecture of the self. It begins with the belief that being unshakable is not something we are, but something we build. Where AFFINĒ Atelier and Casa Legame consider the environments, objects, and relationships that shape life around us, Unshakability examines what anchors us from within.
Through her Substack, Sundays from the Sofa, Jaime writes about the ideas, experiences, and questions that shape her work and personal evolution. Her writing offers a more intimate view of creativity, resilience, home, and the process of building a meaningful life.
Based in Litchfield, Connecticut, Jaime is currently restoring an 1830s Greek Revival home. Having previously restored a turn of the century farmhouse in Sag Harbor, she approaches historic homes as living studies in stewardship, material, and restraint. These spaces are where ideas are tested, refined, and shaped through daily life.
Across every project, Jaime returns to the same belief: beauty and substance are not opposing ideas. The most meaningful objects and environments possess both, becoming more valuable through use and more personal over time.
